Arlington is home to three of the top 250 sports bars in the United States, according to a new set of rankings.
The list, published by betting site BetUS, is based on three simple factors: beer price, hamburger price, and a Google review average.
While sports bars in Mississippi, Wisconsin, Colorado and Nebraska comprised the top five on the list, Crystal City Sports Pub (529 23rd Street S.) was the highest ranked in the D.C. area, at No. 53.
“With 154 million people tuning in to watch their favorite sport every month, and 17,327 sports bars across the country, BetUS wanted to discover the ultimate watering hole for Americans,” a PR rep for the betting site said. “With a 4.4 Google review score, Crystal City Sports [Pub] has one of the highest rating scores across the US. The price of a hamburger is $7.99 and $4.00 for a beer.”
First Down Sports Bar in Ballston (4213 Fairfax Drive) and Dudley’s Sport and Ale in Shirlington (2766 S. Arlington Mill Drive) ranked No. 202 and 222, respectively. A beer and hamburger at First Down are listed at $6 and $13.99, while at Dudley’s it’s $3.75 and $15, according to the list.
Only one other D.C. area bar made the rankings: The Bank Shot Bar & Grill in Laurel, Md, at No. 140.
