A 50-year-old man with multiple prior convictions has allegedly exposed himself again, to a child.
The alleged incident happened yesterday (Sunday) afternoon in Crystal City.
Police say a woman and a girl were walking out of a business on the 400 block of 23rd Street S. — the same block as a 7-Eleven store — “when they were approached by the male suspect who then allegedly exposed himself and made inappropriate statements.”
The victims ran off and and arrest was made nearby by a responding officer. The case is pending in Arlington County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, where few details about a case or its outcome are made publicly available.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-08110104, 400 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 12:46 p.m. on August 11, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the adult female victim and juvenile female victim were walking out of a business when they were approached by the male suspect who then allegedly exposed himself and made inappropriate statements. The victims then ran from the scene and called police. A lookout was broadcast, and a responding officer located the suspect nearby and detained him without incident. [The suspect], 50, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Indecent Liberties with Child, Indecent Exposure (3+ Offense in 10 Years) and Drunk in Public. He was held without bond.
Also in today’s crime report were a pair of incidents involving a gun.
On Friday afternoon, a taxi driver was robbed in Ballston by a middle-aged passenger who brandished a gun and demanded cash, according to police. The suspect fled and is still at large.
ROBBERY, 2024-08090107, 900 block of N. Stafford Street. At approximately 2:53 p.m. on August 9, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male suspect was a passenger inside a taxi when he brandished a firearm and demanded cash. The driver pulled over and the suspect stole the contents of the driver’s wallet, exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results.
Then, early Saturday morning, two Alexandria residents in their late teens were arrested and charged with breaking into several parked cars near Rosslyn.
One of the suspects, an 18-year-old with a previous felony conviction, was armed with a loaded “ghost” gun, police said.
VEHICLE TAMPERING (Significant), 2024-08100021, 1500 block of Arlington Boulevard. At approximately 2:58 a.m. on August 10, police were dispatched to the report of individuals breaking into parked cars in a parking lot. Upon police arrival, the suspects fled the scene on foot. A perimeter was established, and two suspects were found hiding nearby and taken into custody. Items located with the suspects include an unserialized 9mm “ghost” gun loaded with nine rounds of ammunition, a window punch device, and a claw hammer. The investigation determined the suspects allegedly entered three vehicles and attempted to steal one of them by tampering with the ignition. [Suspect 1], 19, of Alexandria, VA, was charged with Attempted Grand Larceny of a Vehicle, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Tampering with a Vehicle, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny. [Suspect 2], 18, of Alexandria, VA, was charged with Attempted Grand Larceny of a Vehicle, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Tampering with a Vehicle, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny.
