Jersey Mike’s, CVS and Five Guys opening soon on Columbia Pike

New lunch options and another drugstore are all scheduled to open on Columbia Pike in the coming weeks.

The sandwich and burger franchises are wrapping up construction at Westmont Apartments on 925 S. Glebe Road, while CVS is expected to open there later this month, Stacy Hornstein, Senior Vice President of Republic Properties, told ARLnow.

Jersey Mike’s and CVS coming this month

  • Jersey Mike’s hopes to open at 3253 Columbia Pike by the end of March, pending county permit approval, regional franchisee Beth Wiley told ARLnow.
  • The sandwich shop has begun hiring for the new outpost, with plans to bring additional staff over from its Clarendon location.
  • Meanwhile, CVS is gearing up to open by March 23 at the corner of S. Glebe Road and Columbia Pike, Hornstein said.

Five Guys eyes April opening

  • The Columbia Pike-born burgers and fries chain, which now has hundreds of locations nationwide, is making a return to its old stomping grounds.
  • The chain first opened in 1986 as a small burger joint in the Westmont Shopping Center, where Westmont Apartments now stand.
  • The opening is expected around mid-April, Hornstein said.

Verizon joins Westmont building

  • The company recently signed a lease to fill Westmont Apartments’ last available retail bay, with construction to come.
  • Another forthcoming tenant, Waxing the City, is expected to open at the apartments sometime this summer.
