SeoulSpice Korean Kitchen plans grand opening in Falls Church this week

Fast-casual restaurant SeoulSpice Korean Kitchen is set to debut its latest location in Falls Church this week.

A grand opening for the regional chain’s newest spot is happening this Wednesday at 156 W. Falls Station Blvd, at the West Falls development. The customizable Korean menu features signature and build-your-own bibimbap, noodle bowls and salads.

You can build your own bowl

  • Bases include white or purple rice, japchae noodles, salad, or roasted vegetables, with toppings like bulgogi, spicy pork, kimchi and kale slaw.
  • The chain emphasizes fresh ingredients, from house-marinated proteins to homemade sriracha. The kimchi is made based on a recipe from founder Eric Shin’s mother.

There will be $5 grand opening entrees

  • On June 4, guests can order any bowl for $5. In Rosslyn, SeoulSpice bowls are priced between $11-$13.
  • The new location offers dine-in and online ordering, plus delivery and catering.
  • SeoulSpice’s Falls Church hours are from 10:45 a.m.-10 p.m., daily.

The franchise plans to expand nationwide

  • Shin, who is also the principal percussionist for the National Symphony Orchestra, founded the fast-casual eatery in 2016 in D.C.’s NoMa neighborhood.
  • He took inspiration from his parents, who opened a Korean restaurant in Atlanta in the early 1980s after immigrating to the United States.
  • The chain has since opened eight D.C.-area locations, including one on N. Lynn Street in Rosslyn, and it’s currently expanding to the Chicago market.
