Japanese restaurant ‘Honoo Ramen Bar’ opens in Falls Church

Honoo Ramen Bar, a new Japanese restaurant, is now open at the West Falls development in Falls Church.

Offering a wide menu of ramen, sushi, cocktails and Japanese entrees, the new restaurant is currently soft opening at 153 W. Falls Station Blvd.

Ramen starts at $13

  • Honoo offers a few different ramen varieties, including tonkatsu (pork) and niboshi (fish), with toppings like eggs, scallions, bamboo shoots and bean sprouts.
  • Prices range from $13 for niboshi shoyu to $23 for Wagyu abura soba. Additional toppings like chives, cabbage and pork belly are available for a surcharge.
  • Other meal options include katsu, yakitori skewers and sashimi. These are joined by appetizers like seaweed salad and spicy edamame.

It has nine unique sushi options

  • The “East Falls” comes with shrimp tempura, salmon, spicy tuna, avocado and mango, while the “Truffle Wharf” comes with yellowtail and fish roe.
  • The menu also offers classic rolls like California, Philadelphia, rainbow and dragon, as well as sweet potato, eel avocado and spicy salmon.
  • Omakase sushi and sashimi entrees can be ordered at $55 for one and $98 for two.

More openings at West Falls

  • Casabella Salon is currently celebrating a grand opening nearby at 267 W. Falls Station Blvd with a 20% discount on all salon services.
  • Elsewhere at West Falls, BurgerFi and Dok Khao Thai Eatery are expected to open sometime this summer.

Honoo is open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Friday, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
