This week’s adoptable pet of the week, a 5-year-old terrier mix named Pip, is already part of the ARLnow extended family.
Pip is an affectionate and loving dog being fostered by none other than ARLnow commentator and honorary mayor, Flood Czar.
According to Flood Czar, Pip is completely house-trained and a great apartment dweller, though she’s leash reactive and wants to play with every dog she sees. She will also need to be kept away from the comments sections on articles:
Pip is a wonderful and super affectionate dog. She will always be by your side and loves belly rubs. Is completely house trained and doing great as an apartment dweller. She pretty much never barks inside, unless someone knocks at the door.
Pip is great with children and loves all people. She’s super low maintenance. Loves car rides, chasing squirrels/rabbits and watching TV. Seriously, Pip watches TV. Every time you leave your home, Pip will greet you like you’ve been gone for months, even if you’ve only gone to take out the trash.
Pip’s only drawback is she’s leash reactive. I don’t think she’s angry, just wants to play with every dog she sees. Lost Dog Rescue says she gets along with other dogs at their shelter.
Pip was rescued from Lee County. She was adopted out to a woman who was then DOGE’d and had to move. Flood Czar has also promised the additional bonus that whoever adopts Pip will also receive a lifetime guarantee of never having their home flooded.
The note about Pip also came with a personal message from the dog herself:
Hi, I’m Pip. I love people, belly rubs, food, belly rubs, watching TV, belly rubs, walks, belly rubs, car rides, belly rubs, treats, belly rubs, naps, belly rubs, treeing squirrels, belly rubs and rolling in the grass. Did I say belly rubs? Belly rubs are my favorite thing in life.
I really do love people. But, sometimes I get sad and wonder if people love me back? Everyone says I’m a good dog, I try really hard to be a good dog. But if I’m a good dog, why am I always homeless? I just want someone to love me back. Mayor Flood Czar has promised to find me a forever home where I’ll be loved and get endless belly rubs. Well, Flood didn’t exactly say endless belly rubs. But, a girl can hope can’t she?
Pip is available for adoption via Lost Dog Rescue.
