Fried chicken and burger chain ‘Nash and Smashed’ coming to Arlington

A Nashville-style burger and fried chicken chain plans to open a new location in Ashton Heights in about a month.

D.C.-area fast food joint “Nash & Smashed” is preparing to open at 310 N. Glebe Road, where Boost Mobile closed in the Buckingham Center. The new restaurant serves up traditional fried chicken, chicken sandwiches and smash burgers.

Various sandwiches are on the menu

  • Five varieties of burgers include the “Farm House” with lettuce, tomato, onion strings, cheese, signature sauce and a fried egg, as well as a plant-based patty option.
  • Each burger comes with up to four patties and ranges from around $7 to $17.
  • Chicken sandwiches flavors, meanwhile, include honey butter, “Nashville hot,” and the “Nash & Smashed,” which combines a burger patty and Nashville hot chicken.

It also sells dessert and mocktails

  • Fried chicken, chicken tenders and chicken bites are all available, as are side options like fries, mac and cheese, corn and mashed potatoes.
  • For dessert, the chain sells bistro lime fusion cake, choco dream cream pie and a variety of milkshakes.
  • It also offers peach, mango, passion fruit and strawberry “mocktail” mojitos for $5 each.

Nash & Smashed is growing rapidly

  • Seven locations have opened since the first Nash & Smashed opened last year in Manassas, founder M. N. Abbasi told ARLnow.
  • Abassi has plans to expand the chain, with 15 more locations in the works across the D.C. area.
  • The chain has also gone international over the past year, with a new restaurant in the city of Chelmsford, England.

The new Ashton Heights location can seat about 30 to 40 customers inside, and will be available for delivery through Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash and the Nash & Smashed app.
