Where to book a table for Valentine’s Day in Arlington and Falls Church

With only a few days to go until Valentine’s Day, reservations are filling up at many restaurants in Arlington and Falls Church.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of establishments where tables are still available during typical dinner hours on Saturday, Feb. 14. Other restaurants only have options for those willing to come before or after the dinner rush.

A handful are fully booked at this point, but may have last-minute openings.

Best bets for dinner reservations

  • CIRCA: The popular bistro has reservations available all night long. 3010 Clarendon Blvd (Clarendon)
  • Tupelo Honey: Southern-style bites are available all day long until 8:45 p.m. 1616 N. Troy Street (Courthouse)
  • Sabores Tapas Bar: The small-plate centric eatery has reservations all night. 2401 Columbia Pike (Penrose)
  • The Salt Line: Hoping for a hearty seafood meal? Reservations are still available all day long. 4040 Wilson Blvd (Ballston)
  • Wagamama: Reservations are available all day at this Asian fusion eatery. 2950 Clarendon Blvd (Clarendon)
  • Brass Rabbit Public House: Dishes like steak frites and blackened salmon are available all night. 1210 N. Garfield Street (Clarendon)
  • Palette 22: The small plates eatery has reservations available from noon through 11:30 p.m. 4053 Campbell Avenue (Shirlington)
  • Godfrey’s: Reservations are available until 10 p.m. at the European-inspired cafe. 421 W. Broad Street (Falls Church)
  • Ted’s Bulletin: There’s no lack of opportunities to dine on Valentine’s Day, with reservations available all night. (4238 Wilson Blvd, Ballston)
  • Chasin’ Tails: The seafood restaurant has seats available until 10:30 p.m. 944 W. Broad Street (Falls Church)
  • The Liberty Tavern: Indulge in wood-oven pizzas, house-made pasta and much more all Valentine’s Day long. 3195 Wilson Blvd (Clarendon)
  • Whino: The small plates restaurant has reservations available all night long from 5 p.m.-10:30 p.m. 4238 Wilson Blvd (Ballston)

Go early or come late

  • Stratford Garden: Drawing rave reviews in the first weeks of business, Stratford Garden reservations are only available before 4 p.m. and after 9 p.m. 300 W. Broad Street, (Falls Church)
  • Locket: Tucked inside the Hilton at the Key, the American-focused eatery has reservations available until 5 p.m. and after 9:30 p.m. 1900 N. Fort Myer Drive (Rosslyn)
  • Maison Cheryl: The contemporary French eatery has reservations available until 3:45 p.m. Availability doesn’t pick up again until 9:30 p.m. 2900 Wilson Blvd (Clarendon)
  • Lebanese Taverna: Reservations are available before 4:30 p.m. and after 8 p.m. 5900 Washington Blvd (Westover)
  • Green Pig Bistro: Stop in before 5 p.m. or after 8 p.m. for Green Pig’s slate of American-French dishes. 2900 Wilson Blvd (Clarendon)
  • Copperwood Tavern: Diners looking for Copperwood’s contemporary American menu can book reservations up until 5:30 p.m. Reservations don’t reopen until 8:15 p.m. 4021 Campbell Avenue (Shirlington)
  • The Falls: Only reservations before 5:45 p.m. and after 7:45 p.m. are available. 370 W. Broad Street (Falls Church)
  • Medium Rare: Reservations are only available up until 3:45 p.m., and don’t reopen until 9:30 p.m. 3601 Fairfax Drive (Virginia Square)
  • Lyon Hall: The French eatery only has reservations before 4 p.m. and after 9:30 p.m. 3100 Washington Blvd (Clarendon)
  • MeJana: Stop in before 5:30 p.m. or after 8:30 p.m. to indulge in Mejana’s Lebanese cuisine. 2300 Wilson Blvd (Clarendon)
  • SER Restaurant: You’ll have to stop in outside of prime dinner hours to indulge in SER’s Spain-inspired menu, with reservations currently available before 4:45 p.m. and after 8:30 p.m. 1110 N. Glebe Road (Ballston)
  • Our Mom Eugenia: The Greek eatery has reservations available up until 4:15 p.m. and after 9:15 p.m. 4044 Campbell Avenue (Shirlington)

Better luck next year

  • Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ: Reservations are available for lunch, but diners hoping to stop by for dinner are out of luck. 1119 N. Hudson Street (Clarendon)
  • Corso Italian: Reservations are available only before 3:30 p.m. 4024 Campbell Avenue (Shirlington)
  • Gyu San Japanese BBQ: For diners looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day during lunchtime, this is perfect. If not, look elsewhere. 4300 Wilson Blvd (Ballston)
  • Carbonara: The Italian eatery, which drew headlines for welcoming former President Biden last year, is fully booked. 3865 Wilson Blvd (Virginia Square)
