My Home Thai Bistro plans grand opening in Falls Church this weekend

A local Thai restaurant chain with lunch specials and astrology-themed cocktails is celebrating its Falls Church debut this weekend.

After nearly a year of preparations, My Home Thai Bistro plans to host a grand opening this Saturday for its new restaurant at 1009 W. Broad Street. The new eatery aims to bring “a modern take on Thai cuisine with a refined yet welcoming atmosphere,” co-owner Anuchit “Andrew” Suthus-na-Ayuttaya told ARLnow.

“The concept focuses on elevated Thai dishes, thoughtfully designed interiors, and a comfortable dining experience for both families and the local community,” said Suthus-na-Ayuttaya, who owns and operates the bistro with Katie Choi.

In Falls Church, My Home will offer lunch and dinner service, with an ongoing 20% off lunch special from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Options include dishes like pad thai and pad see ew, as well as green curry, Bangkok shrimp and duck ka-pow stir fry with bell pepper, onions, basil and a spicy garlic chili brown sauce.

Other entrees are the “Crying Tiger” flank steak with toasted rice and chili powder sauce, and tom yom soup with mushrooms, cilantro, kaffir lime leaves, chili and lime.

The bistro’s full-service bar will offer beers, spirits and soju, in addition to a variety of cocktails inspired by the solar system and zodiac. The “Virgo” is made with Bombay Sapphire, lemon, dry champagne and a cotton candy topping, and a blue-and-green “Earth” combines coconut rum, pineapple, amaretto and blue curaçao.

The bistro will be able to seat about 120 guests across a 4,453-square-foot dining room. It also plans to offer delivery and takeout.

“While our fresh menu and experienced chefs will create a memorable experience, our impeccable service levels will be our true differentiator,” Choi said previously in a press release. “We will strive not to be just another dining option within Falls Church but a destination of choice.”

This is My Home Thai Bistro’s fourth location in the area, joining locations in Reston, Stafford and Ashburn.

The new restaurant is located on the ground floor of Modera Falls Church apartments, next to the recently opened Tatte, Livewell Animal Hospital and a Sev Laser hair removal studio.

The Modera development also appears to be welcoming a second restaurant, Ian Sushi, to the ground floor, according to a site plan published by H&R Retail.

My Home Thai Bistro will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
