A new sushi restaurant has opened in Crystal City, offering a wide menu of sushi rolls and other Japanese dishes.
Seki Sushi serves nigiri, sashimi and sushi rolls such as The Pentagon Roll, with snow crab, avocado, cucumber, scallops, jalapenos and a poke sauce. It opened at 480 11th Street S. in late June and offers a dinner experience where patrons can sit at the bar and watch sushi chefs at work.
“Our passion is bringing authentic Japanese flavors, fresh ingredients, and warm hospitality to our local community,” the restaurant said in an Instagram post. “Whether you’re stopping by for sushi, ramen, donburi, or simply a great meal with family and friends, we can’t wait to welcome you.”
Sushi roll options include a wagyu beef roll with asparagus, avocado, cucumber, wasabi and wagyu beef, as well as salmon, yellowtail and tuna options. A unique menu offering is the Vegas Roll, stuffed with eel, crab, cream cheese and avocado with grilled eel or eel sauce on top.

In addition to sushi rolls, the restaurant has a long sashimi menu with king salmon, sea bass, octopus, shrimp and more. It also serves entrees like sirloin steak and sesame chicken with a sweet and savory glaze.
Other options include appetizers like mini wagyu cheeseburgers and sushi tacos with tuna, salmon and white fish. Fried oysters, edamame and seaweed salad are also on the menu.
Seki Sushi is co-owned by the owner of 1983 Chinese Cuisine, a Cantonese dim sum restaurant that opened in the Westpost shopping center last year, a server told ARLnow.
It is open from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. every day except Monday. An omakase dinner experience, where customers are served rolls one by one at the bar, is also available from 4-8 p.m. each day.
