Nash & Smashed has finally opened its Glebe Road location, serving up Nashville-style fried chicken and smash burgers.
The rapidly growing chain plans to hold a grand opening at 310 N. Glebe Road in about a month, but it is already selling its signature sandwiches along with mocktail-style mojitos, milkshakes and desserts, Chief Operating Officer Lamaan Malik told ARLnow.
Since the eatery opened on Glebe Road nearly two weeks ago, Malik said the most popular items have been the Nashville Tenders and the Oklahoma Smashed, a double-patty smash burger topped with grilled onions, grilled jalapenos, cheese and a signature sauce.
“People are loving it,” Malik said about customers’ first reactions. “They love our fried chicken and they love our smash burgers, so they’re enjoying the new place.”
This is now the second Nash & Smashed storefront in Arlington, joining a Crystal City spot that opened last year.
The Buckingham Center location was originally slated to open its doors last summer, but the opening date was pushed back as management waited on approvals.
In total, Nash & Smashed operates 27 stores with 10 more scheduled to open soon, according to the company’s website. The first store opened in Virginia and most new locations that have followed operate in the D.C. area.
The restaurant on Glebe Road offers in-house seating for roughly 25 guests, along with online orders and curbside pickup. Malik said most customers opt for mobile delivery or curbside pickup, and he recommended downloading the company’s app for fastest service.
Sandwich costs run from about $8-$11, three chicken tenders are just shy of $15 and the mocktail mojitos cost $5. The store sells food until midnight on weeknights and 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
