Two men smashed the windows of four vehicles inside a Crystal City parking garage and made off with a gun, credit cards and a cellphone.
That’s according to the latest Arlington County Police Department crime report.
The break-ins happened around 12:15 a.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Crystal Drive, ACPD said. A fifth vehicle was damaged but not entered.
Car break-in series have surfaced repeatedly in ACPD reports over the past year, including back-to-back sprees in South Arlington in late June and a spree along Columbia Pike that damaged 16 vehicles last August.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (Late) (Series), 2026-08020010, 2300 block of Crystal Drive. At approximately 12:53 a.m. on August 2, police were dispatched to the report of destruction of property. It was determined approximately 40 minutes prior, the two male suspects entered the parking garage and shattered the rear passenger windows of four vehicles, rummaged through the interiors and stole credit cards, a cellphone and a firearm before fleeing the scene. An additional vehicle was damaged but not entered.
Separately, a man was arrested in Rosslyn after someone inside an apartment building’s common area reported seeing him exposing himself outside, police said.
Officers were called to the 1700 block of N. Pierce Street around 11:15 a.m. Saturday and found the man on scene. He gave them a false name and turned out to be wanted in Virginia Beach, according to ACPD.
The suspect was charged with indecent exposure, trespassing and giving false identity to law enforcement, and served with the outstanding warrant.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2026-08010067, 1700 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 11:21 a.m. on August 1, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was inside a common area of a residential building when they observed the male suspect outside allegedly exposing himself. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, the suspect provided officers with false personal identification information and it was determined he was wanted out of Virginia Beach, Va. [The suspect], 20, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure, Trespassing and Giving False Identity to Law Enforcement as well as served with the outstanding warrant.
