Incredibly, 30 bold buyers this week braved the ice and snow to ratify contracts on homes in Arlington, including a $2.1 million home in Country Club Hills that had been on the market 224 days. All those buyers deserve a trophy. And not surprisingly, only 20 intrepid sellers put their homes on the market this week despite the snow blocked streets and shutdown neighborhoods. Of those homes that sold this week, the average days on market dropped to 64 and the average list price was $627,000.

Virtual Reality Mobile App Designed to Improve U.S. Capitol Tours

The Metro-accessible space features a 5,000-square-foot common area that includes a kitchen, lounge area, collaborative meeting spaces, and a stage for formal presentations.

Oates’ solution is a virtual reality mobile application called CapApp. Still in development, the app will contain the history of the building and give guests a closer look at the artwork and artifacts in it. This includes the frescos that cover the inside of the rotunda, which loom nearly 200 feet above Capitol visitors’ heads.
