An Arlington man is dead and another young man has been charged in the crash that claimed his life.

Police and medics responded around 2 a.m. to a crash along the 2200 block of N. Harrison Street, in the Tara-Leeway Heights neighborhood south of Langston Blvd. A car being driven northbound by an 18-year-old Arlington resident struck several parked vehicles and overturned, according to Arlington County police.

State police are investigating the crash, which happened just before 5 p.m. The motorcycle rider was dead upon police arrival in a scene described by arriving officers as disturbing and spread out over a distance.

The man who struck and killed a woman near the Thomas Jefferson Community Center in the fall of 2022 will spend four years in prison.

Julio David Villazon received his 10-year sentence, of which six years were suspended, on Friday, according to Arlington County Circuit Court records. After his release, he will have five years of supervised probation. The court also suspended his driver’s license indefinitely.
