That dude’s about to lose his plate…

  • CW

    WIDEN THAT S***!!!

    Just kidding. Sort of.

    • KalashniKEV

No joke, dude. I-66 needs to be minimum 6 lanes, probably 8, all the way out to Dulles.

      • Glebe Roader

No thanks to 6 or 8 lanes.

        • KalashniKEV

You’re welcome, the money is probably better spent on pet projects of the county board than badly needed infrastructure improvements anyway… Then we can all have 18th century patterns of life and use simple machines to get to work.

      • CW

Ehh, I’m in the “widen it westbound only” camp, since everyone just ends up at the same bottlenecks getting into downtown anyhow. But westbound should be a no-brainer. I mean hell, look at the picture, there’s a third lane right there (where the random car is parked) AND STILL room for a shoulder!

The ongoing spot widening should help a bit.

Easter Egg roll: North Arlington, North Arlington, North Arlington, North Arlington, and North Arlington. Uh-huh.

(And yes, ATS most certainly counts as North Arlington. Do you seriously think the sons of daughters of dishwashers in Arlandria win THAT lottery? To sit next to the elites of Arlington County? Uh, that would be a “no”.)

    • Sue

No. Arlington Science Focus though. hmmm.

    • mehoo

So the lottery is rigged, huh? You know this because you have checked the addresses of all the students at ATS? I see. Have you reported this to the authorities?

    • NOVApologist

Well, if you are really keeping score – Over the past three years eleven schools from S. Arlington and eleven schools from N. Arlington have been invited to the Easter Egg Roll.

    • Eileen

My understanding is that the ATS lottery atttempts to spread admissions over the different elementary boundary zones, after first allowing in sibs of current students. However not everyone wants to go to ATS.

      • mehoo

My research shows that kids that did their special preschool and siblings are the two groups that get priority, but otherwise the lottery is totally random.

In other words, Joe is full of it.

  • 23 years? If it wasn’t a sting he would have helped murder countless people. Should have gotten life.

    • LyonSteve

Yeah, my thoughts are somewhat similar. It sounds like yes, he was brought into it by the Feds, but he was serious about conducting this based upon the brief description of actions he took.

    • V Dizzle

Wasn’t there some discussion of entrappment? Not that I disagree with the results, just thought the methods used were in question.

      • KalashniKEV

        “Entrapment???”

Didn’t look like it from the facts of the case as they were presented in the media. I think we might as well waterboard him to find out for sure though. Better safe than sorry!!!

    • BlueFlipFlops

He was in possession of video tapes of the courthouse area. I wonder if novapj helped him get the right videos he needed.

      • KalashniKEV

Why Hadj always gotta be bringing Jihad to my ‘hood???

  • A Little Fishy

Fairfax has a dozen public pools. Quit reinventing the wheel and just build a pool!

    • Lou

We already have more public pools per capita than Fairfax. I’m not sure that is the best argument to use.

      • NOVApologist

Yes, but Arlington also has many more people self-reporting as “training for a triathlon” per capita than Fairfax.
