2910 Kitchen & Bar set to hold grand opening this weekend

After a multi-week soft opening, 2910 Kitchen & Bar is set to hold its official grand opening this weekend.

Located at 2910 Columbia Pike, the restaurant serving American cuisine will officially open on Friday, May 10 and host a Mother’s Day brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, husband-and-wife owners Raheel “Ray” Khan and Griselda Giselle Fernandez plan to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday at 5 p.m., according to a press release.

“We have designed an elevated three-course dinner menu for Mother’s Day where every bite tells a story of culinary excellence and artful presentation,” the release states.

Reservations for Mother’s Day brunch and dinner are recommended.

The space was previously home to P. Brennan’s Irish Pub, which closed its doors in 2017. The space remained vacant until last year.

Initially, 2910 Kitchen & Bar had set its sights on a summer 2023 opening. However, the owners experienced several setbacks, including permitting and staffing issues, which set the restaurant back nearly a full year.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Wilder Martinez, the restaurant’s menu features locally sourced, sustainable ingredients, according to the release.

Dinner menu highlights include braised short ribs with garlic, Yukon gold potato puree, baby carrots, and brussel sprouts, along with “Risotto’d scallops” with Padano cheese and Swiss chard. The brunch offerings boast classic dishes such as chicken and waffles with a blackberry red wine reduction and powdered sugar, and a mushroom and goat cheese scramble accompanied by asparagus, green onions, and a balsamic reduction.

Dinner entree prices range from $28 for roasted chicken to $62 for a 16 oz “caveman steak.”

The interior of the cavernous, two-level restaurant has undergone extensive renovations. The art deco-inspired design includes a “stylish bar area, cozy seating, and private dining options,” per the release.
