New ‘Wonder’ food hall plans grand opening in Rosslyn this month

Rosslyn’s new celebrity chef-partnered food hall has set a grand opening date.

Wonder announced plans today (Tuesday) to open for business later this month at 1771 N. Pierce Street. The New York-based hall promises dine-in, delivery and takeout from celebrity chef concepts and “the country’s best restaurants.”

The grand opening is July 24

  • Celebrations will feature “multiple days of programming and giveaways,” according to a press release.
  • The Thursday grand opening will continue with a Wonder “community day” on Saturday, July 26.
  • Wonder is planning to open several locations throughout the D.C. area this summer. The first local opening will take place on 14th Street in D.C. on July 10.

Wonder has 27 vendors

  • Wonder plans to host “a mix of Wonder exclusives” and celebrity chef restaurants at its D.C.-area locations.
  • These include Marcus Samuelsson’s Streetbird, Michael Symon’s Chios Taverna and Al Lanza’s Alanza.
  • Other offerings in Rosslyn might include build-your-own Mexican cuisine at Limesalt, desserts from Magnolia Bakery and barbecue from Tejas Barbecue.
