A boutique fitness studio is coming to Ballston and hosting free pop-up classes around town this fall.
The gym franchise barre3 has signed a lease at 818 N. Quincy Street in Ballston, according to a press release. In advance of the opening, the new studio is hosting pop-up community classes across Arlington over the next few weeks.
The studio is opening ‘later this year’
- The studio is set to open around December this year, studio owner and longtime barre3 instructor Amy McNamara told ARLnow.
- The new studio will join a few retail tenants on the ground floor of Liberty Tower, including Poppyseed Rye and Life Alive Cafe, now expected to open in late fall.
- The barre3 workout includes components of cardio, strength training and breath work.
Free classes scheduled through next month
- At least 12 barre3 pop-ups are scheduled through Tuesday, Oct. 7, at venues like Faith Lutheran Church, Clarendon Presbyterian Church and True Food Kitchen.
- Pop-up classes are 45 minutes each, and tickets are free on Eventbrite. Guests should bring yoga mats, water and hand weights.
- The franchise has other nearby locations in Falls Church, D.C., Alexandria and Bethesda. A previous Clarendon location closed in 2022.
