An Arlington deli has opened its second location, bringing New York-inspired fare and East Asian cuisine to the former Bob & Edith’s Diner on Langston Blvd.
Chelsea Market & Deli is now in operation at 5050 Langston Blvd. It serves up many of the same dishes as its sister location in Courthouse — such as breakfast fare, salads, sandwiches, calzones, empanadas and pizza — but also offers new items like sushi, ramen, Korean wings and bento box meals.
The business filed a liquor license application at the address in February, shortly after Bob & Edith’s announced its closure. However, it was previously unclear whether it would be relocating or expanding.
Chelsea Market will celebrate its opening with free pizza from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 20.
The revamped spot hopes to host live music, comedy nights and exhibitions featuring the work of local artists, manager Shawn Kim told ARLnow. It can seat up to 65 guests.
Chelsea Market opened its first location at 2250 Clarendon Blvd in 2017, aiming to bring Courthouse a taste of home cooking. The business prioritizes Boar’s Head, kosher and organic products.
The new market’s current hours are 8 a.m.-10 p.m., daily. Friday and Saturday hours will extend until 2 a.m. beginning on Friday, June 19.
