Panera Bread opens ‘to go’ eatery in Crystal City

A new Panera Bread location in Crystal City opened its doors yesterday (Thursday).

The fast-casual chain’s latest “to go” eatery, announced over the summer, is now serving up its classic soups, salads and sandwiches at 2450 Crystal Drive, next to Navy Federal Credit Union.

It’s a smaller space built for efficiency

  • The location, which has a smaller footprint than Panera Bread’s standard “bakery-cafes,” is geared toward “guests on the go,” a spokesperson told ARLnow.
  • It has a fully digital menu, “updated ordering kiosks” and a new tracking screen with “more detailed order status.”
  • This is Arlington’s fourth Panera Bread location, joining others in Ballston and the Rosslyn Metro station, as well as a restaurant inside the Pentagon.

The Crystal City spot is open from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sunday.
