Green Pig Bistro is relocating from its home of more than 12 years, but might not be going far.

The restaurant’s last day at 1025 N. Fillmore Street is scheduled for late September, an employee told ARLnow. Green Pig may then move down the road to 2900 Wilson Blvd, where it will share a building with Buena Vida Gastrolounge, we’re told. But the deal is not final and at least one other location is being considered, the restaurant’s ownership says.

Arlington’s annual 9/11 5K race is returning to Pentagon City next month — this year looking to finally pass $1 million in total donations.

The Arlington Police, Fire, Sheriff and ECC 9/11 Memorial Race — which donates all proceeds to organizations that support first responders, military personnel and victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks — will take place on Saturday, Sept. 7. The run has generated a total of over $950,000 since it began in 2002.

The only items left on the to-do list for Anita’s, which has been serving New Mexican cuisine at other Northern Virginia locations for about 50 years, are minor cosmetic updates.

Arlington County police are investigating an incident that resulted in a theft suspect discharging a round from the gun of a responding officer.

The incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. when a person began to load up a backpack with merchandise from the Target at 740 N. Glebe Road, according to scanner traffic.
