Races in the Amazon Armed Forces Cycling Classic are happening in Arlington and D.C. this weekend, leading to some road closures around Clarendon and Crystal City.

Tom Beers of Arlington, Va., died on May 20 after succumbing to complications related to metastatic kidney cancer. He was 74.
Tom will be remembered by many, but especially his life partner of 33 years, The Honorable Todd M. Harper, and his sister, Mary Anne Beers of Andover, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Recent management changes at an affordable housing complex bought with Amazon’s money followed months of advocacy and frustration from both tenants and county officials.
