Concorde, a 12,000-square-foot space with room for about 470 people, will be ready for bookings in January at 2011 Crystal Drive, operator JLL Experience Management announced in a press release today (Thursday).

Crystal City welcomed a new destination for green thumbs over the weekend.

The D.C.-based plant boutique PLNTR — known for its 2024 appearance on “Love is Blind” — celebrated the grand opening of its second location on Saturday at 269 19th Court S. The new shop hosts events and classes, and offers a variety of greenery and home goods for sale.

Races in the Amazon Armed Forces Cycling Classic are happening in Arlington and D.C. this weekend, leading to some road closures around Clarendon and Crystal City.

The international cycling event kicks off its 27th year at 7 a.m. this Saturday with an amateur Challenge Ride, followed by professional/amateur races in the Capital Cup and Sunday’s Clarendon Cup.

Recent management changes at an affordable housing complex bought with Amazon’s money followed months of advocacy and frustration from both tenants and county officials.

An Arlington County police officer is recovering from serious injuries suffered during a traffic stop early Saturday.

The officer had stopped a car on the 1600 block of S. Eads Street in Crystal City when he was struck by a passing driver who then fled the scene, according to ACPD.

A bike lane paving project in Crystal City is beginning tomorrow (Tuesday).

Paving on Crystal Drive and S. Clark Street, previously slated for completion today, is beginning later than expected because of last week’s storms. Motorists should expect lane closures, no street parking and a full crosswalk closure at 23rd Street S.

The number of sponsors for the group’s upcoming festivities at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City plummeted from 50 last year to two this year, organizer Lindsey Hinton told ARLnow.
