The shooting happened near the intersection of N. Lynn Street and 19th Street N. around 11:30 a.m.

Arlington County police are investigating a somewhat unusual road rage incident in Rosslyn.

It happened Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Key Blvd and N. Nash Street. According to police, two male drivers “were stopped in their vehicles at a stop sign when they became involved in a verbal dispute.” The suspect then allegedly threw a can at the other driver, reached into his car and stole his phone, before driving off.

County staff are seeking feedback on competing visions for a more verdant and multi-functional Gateway Park in Rosslyn.

Following an initial round of community feedback on the recreation area at 1300 Langston Blvd, which the county hopes to overhaul several years earlier than expected, a new presentation outlines three possible paths forward. All of them involve keeping popular features including Gateway Park’s lawns and dog park, while adding more greenery and new areas geared toward a variety of activities.

A large Arlington County police and fire department response was once again on scene of the Key Bridge Marriott this morning.

In connection to the response, the county said it would prove to the media “an update on the ongoing operation to secure the property located at 1401 Langston Blvd.” A press conference was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in nearby Gateway Park.

The county announced Friday morning that it has declared the property at 1401 Langston Blvd a “public nuisance… due to its unsafe and unsanitary conditions.”

The Vets in AI launch event, taking place at Microsoft’s Rosslyn office on Thursday, is one of the first forays into the D.C. area for the San Francisco-based nonprofit VetsinTech. As emerging technologies play an increasingly prominent role in both the public and private sector, Vets in AI seeks to create education, employment and entrepreneurship pathways for people with military backgrounds.

For the second day in a row, there’s a fire in a large Rosslyn condominium building.

After a vehicle fire in the parking garage of the Atrium Condominium at 1530 Key Blvd on Monday morning, there’s now a reported electrical fire in the garage area. A second alarm has been called in to help extinguish the fire and ventilate smoke from the building.
