Arlington County and much of the D.C. region is under a Winter Storm Watch, with close to a half-foot of snow possible over the weekend.
The National Weather Service issued the watch this afternoon, saying that the snow will fall from late Saturday night through the afternoon of Super Bowl Sunday. That’s despite today’s relative warmth, in the mid-50s.
Update at 11:05 p.m. — A Flood Warning has now been issued for Arlington.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Arlington, set to take effect early tomorrow morning.
The watch is in effect from 2 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday. Forecasters say expected heavy rain could result in flash flooding.
Arlington and much of the region is under a Tornado Watch from now through 10 p.m.
Forecasters say storms now forming to the west could pack strong winds and even some tornadoes. Those in the watch zone are urged to keep an eye on the sky, and to take cover if necessary.

Arlington and the entire D.C. region is now under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch through 11 p.m.
Forecasters say strong storms packing damaging winds, large hail and torrential rainfall are likely this evening, though the storms may be scattered as they approach from the northwest.

(Updated at 1:35 p.m.) After getting drenched by a storm early this morning, Arlington may be getting another round of heavy rain tonight.
