The Ballston Metro station is closed due to a power issue that has split the Orange and Silver lines in two.
Metro reported the issue on social media around 12:45 p.m. Metrobuses and shuttle buses have replaced trains between Clarendon, Virginia Square and East Falls Church.
The transit agency says it has also established an emergency bus stop in Ballston.
Orange/Silver Line: Orange and Silver Line trains are not running btwn Virginia Sq and E Falls Church because of a power problem at Ballston. Ballston station is closed. While we work to arrange shuttle buses, please consider using a local bus route to get to your destination.

UPDATE: Orange/Silver Line: Silver Line trains are operating btwn Clarendon and Downtown Largo. Orange Line trains are operating btwn New Carrollton and Virginia Square. Orange and Silver Line trains are operating every 16 minutes.
