A new food hall in Rosslyn will celebrate its grand opening this week with a ribbon cutting, giveaways and live music.
Wonder, a new celebrity chef-partnered food hall at 1771 N. Pierce Street, opens for business at 4:30 p.m. this Thursday. The new hall hosts over a dozen vendors, including exclusive Wonder partners and restaurants from across the country.
There will be giveaways
- The first 100 visitors will receive $10 Wonder gift cards and branded tote bags designed by D.C. artist Trap Bob.
- The opening will also include free samples and live music by cellist Benjamin Gates.
- The opening comes as Wonder undertakes D.C.-area expansion plans. Its first food hall in the region opened earlier this month at 14th Street in D.C.
Food vendors revealed
- Aspiring to be “the Amazon” of dining, the hall founded by billionaire entrepreneur Marc Lore promises dine-in, delivery and takeout from 21 vendors across several cuisines.
- These include Wonder’s signature celebrity chef restaurants, such as Bobby Flay Steak, Michael Symon’s Greek restaurant Chios Taverna, and fried chicken eatery Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson.
- Wonder will be open in Rosslyn from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
A ‘community day’ is planned this weekend
- The festivities continue on Saturday with a three-mile community run co-hosted by Wonder and Pacers Arlington. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. at 3100 Clarendon Blvd.
- Participants will receive tote bags and $25 Wonder credit for lunch. A Bayou Bakery pop-up with coffee will also be present.
- The food hall intends to launch a run club in the coming months, with further details to come, according to a release.
