Winter Restaurant Week returns next Monday at over 20 Arlington eateries

More than 20 restaurants in Arlington are slated to participate in Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week when it returns next Monday.

Hosted biannually in the winter and summer by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, the week features multi-course, prix-fixe menus at participating D.C. area restaurants. This season, it takes place from Monday, Jan. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 25.

A few local restaurants that have published their Winter Restaurant Week menus are highlighted below.

Immigrant Food

Deal: $25 for a three-course lunch and $40 or $55 for a three-course dinner.

  • This restaurant celebrates the food of immigrants with cuisines from around the world.
  • Much of the cuisine highlights global street food, with appetizers like Filipino fried chicken, Caribbean shrimp ceviche and Belgian fries.
  • Entree highlights include the Mumbai Mariachi Bowl, Mediterranean lamb skewers and roasted mushroom lomo saltado.

Corso Italian

Deal: $25 for a three-course lunch.

  • This restaurant and market includes handmade pastas and other Italian classics.
  • Sandwiches, handmade pastas and large salads are on the menu for lunch, while pastas and meats take center stage for dinner during restaurant week.
  • Cocktail and flight add-ons are also offered as restaurant week specials.

Spice Kraft Indian Bistro

Deal: $40 for one, $75 for two dinner menu.

  • The restaurant provides a chef-driven approach to modern Indian cuisine with meat dishes as well as vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
  • Feast on classic dishes like the chicken tikka masala or try Indian-style curries like the lamb Madurai or Malabar shrimp curry.
  • Appetizers and desserts come with the meal, and drink pairings can be added on.
