Restaurant week deals extended in Arlington and Falls Church after winter storm

Fear not, foodies: two local restaurant weeks will stick around for a little while longer following some of the worst winter weather in years.

Many participating locations in both the Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week and the Falls Church Restaurant Week have extended their deals through Sunday, Feb. 8, on account of below-freezing temperatures and lingering snow and ice.

The region-wide restaurant week was originally scheduled to end on Jan. 25, while Falls Church Restaurant Week was set to last through Feb. 1.

“This winter storm disrupted more than just plans — it disrupted revenue for an industry that is already navigating a challenging environment,” RAMW President and CEO Shawn Townsend said. “Extending Winter Restaurant Week through Feb. 8 for restaurants that want to continue gives operators the chance to recapture business and gives diners another opportunity to support local restaurants.”

Dozens of restaurants in Arlington and Falls Church are continuing to participate in the two events, which offer prix fixe plates and discounts on a variety of dishes,

Some of the options available include:

  • Honey Pig CupBop: Mention restaurant week to receive a complimentary two-dumpling appetizer. (6763 Wilson Blvd, Falls Church)
  • Makers Union: Three-course lunch for $25, three-course dinner for $40 (1450 S. Eads Street, Crystal City)
  • Seoul Prime: Three-course dinner for $65 (106 Founders Avenue, Falls Church)
  • Wiseguy Pizza: Build an eight-slice pizza flight for $25. (locations in Rosslyn and Pentagon City)
