A woman was reported carjacked Saturday afternoon near the Arlington Ridge and Arna Valley View neighborhoods.
Police say the woman was sitting in her car, talking on the phone, when two men approached. They implied a gun, ordered the woman out of her car and drove off. The victim was shaken but uninjured, police say.

Garvey Phones It In, Literally — Arlington County Board member Libby Garvey, who was injured on Friday in a bicycle accident, voted and participated in Tuesday’s County Board meeting via phone. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Arlington and the surrounding D.C. region.
Forecasters say 2-3 inches of rain is expected to fall from Thursday afternoon into Friday. Heavy rain showers and thunderstorms may cause flash flooding, especially along small local rivers and streams.
