An institution in the D.C. area adult entertainment scene is changing hands to a regional chain.

Crystal City Restaurant and Gentlemen’s Club (422 23rd Street S.) has been sold to Paper Moon, which operates other gentlemen’s clubs in Richmond, Northern Virginia and D.C. It’s only the second time the family-owned business has transferred ownership in its 62-year history.

A full slate of classic cover bands from Elvis to ABBA is coming to Falls Church between now and the new year, with more to come in 2026.

A new spot for bites and brews has opened in Falls Church, replacing a former motel.

A weeklong marathon of Christmas classics is taking over the big screen at Arlington Drafthouse starting tomorrow (Wednesday).

Every day through Tuesday, Dec. 23, the theater at 2903 Columbia Pike will be screening hits that run the gamut from “It’s a Wonderful Life” to “Die Hard.”

A 15-year-old Yorktown High School sophomore has become the first from Arlington to win a regional competition spotlighting youth pianists.

Sam Brose was selected as the winner among eight finalists in the  2025 Nancy Peery Marriott Young Artist Competition. He and two other young honorees will be spotlighted at the upcoming holiday concert of the National Chamber Ensemble.


A popular burger restaurant is closing its doors next week after more than 15 years in Lyon Village.

BGR: The Burger Joint — which opened in 2010 at 3129 Langston Blvd, in the Lyon Village Shopping Center — will serve its final customers on Dec. 24, an employee told ARLnow. The corporate office for BGR did not respond to a request for comment.


As Arlington’s fleet of snowplows rumbled to life after this weekend’s snowfall, the vehicles bore a new set of playful names submitted by local residents.

They’re just as pun-packed as last year’s.
