A new wine bar with a selection of vinyl records and a cafe with a gourmet market are coming to Crystal City.

Both Altitude Wine Bar and Constellation, a cafe and gourmet market, will be installed at 2011 Crystal Drive — adjacent to the forthcoming pedestrian bridge connecting Crystal City to the airport. Episcope Hospitality, the group behind Water Park, plans to construct both establishments “inspired by the elegance of the golden age of travel and exploration.”

The crew behind an acclaimed Falls Church sushi restaurant is bringing its newest endeavor to Rosslyn.

Neko Panchi, from the husband-wife duo that operates Yume Sushi in Falls Church, will be the newest eatery at the food hall Upside on Moore at 1700 N. Moore Street. It’s scheduled to open on Monday, Nov. 17, according to a press release.


ARLnow is now using Column, an industry-standard tech platform, to handle public notice submissions.

The new system replaces a more rudimentary process that did not allow for account creation, notice templates and publication previews. We have also significantly lowered the price of most notice submissions and are no longer charging extra for invoicing.

Twelve restaurants in Falls Church and Arlington made Northern Virginia Magazine’s list of The 50 Best Restaurants in Northern Virginia for 2025 — including three establishments in the top 10.


An organic eatery encouraging diners to “eat positive” is opening soon in Ballston.

Life Alive Cafe intends to open on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 818 N. Quincy Street, filling a retail bay that held Bruegger’s Bagels until April 2023.

Only a few days remain for wine lovers to patronize a longtime Ballston bistro.

Grand Cru Wine Bar and Bistro, located on the first floor of 4301 Wilson Blvd, will shutter this weekend to make way for a new tenant after nearly two decades in business.
