Perspectives from the D.C. area’s skateboarding subculture are on display at a new art exhibition in Virginia Square.
“The Invisible Skate Theory” opened to the public yesterday (Thursday) at Mason Exhibitions, featuring skateboard-themed pieces and mementos. It will be on display through Aug. 16 at 3601 Fairfax Drive.

Leaders in healthcare, technology and research gathered in Arlington last month to explore how artificial intelligence is shaping the future of patient care.
The Healthcare + AI Forum, held March 26 at Arlington Economic Development (AED), brought together healthcare professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders to discuss real-world applications of AI in healthcare, from clinical decision support to the responsible and ethical adoption of emerging technologies. The event was sponsored by AED, the Ballston Business Improvement District and Darwoft.
Panelists included Usman Akhtar of VHC Health, David Patric Werner Rastall of Johns Hopkins Medicine, Skye Donovan of Marymount University and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Shavini Fernando, CEO of Arlington-based startup OxiWear. The discussion was facilitated by Ned Hayes of Darwoft.
Throughout the conversation, speakers highlighted how technology can support faster, smarter clinical decisions while keeping the focus on improving patient outcomes and making a meaningful impact on people’s lives. (more…)
A past production during the Lubber Run Summer Concert Series (via Arlington County)
A free summer concert series at Lubber Run Amphitheater returns today (Friday) with a production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”
The annual Lubber Run Summer Concert Series will run productions at 200 N. Columbus Street through Aug. 1 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Featured music genres include big band, blues, soul and orchestral music.

Man Who Struck Tow Owner Arrested Again — “A man drove over another man in Arlington. He faced up to more than 21 years in prison. A new conference and event center is coming to Crystal City.
Concorde, a 12,000-square-foot space with room for about 470 people, will be ready for bookings in January at 2011 Crystal Drive, operator JLL Experience Management announced in a press release today (Thursday).

A dermatology studio in Clarendon has closed, leaving a 3,000-square-foot vacancy in a shopping center undergoing significant changes.
Ever/Body, located between Chip City and The Golden Fox Boutique, shuttered after two years in business at 2800 Clarendon Blvd. The closure comes as the nearby Barnes & Noble undergoes remodeling and The Crossing Clarendon prepares to welcome a new restaurant.
