Four teens are facing charges after an armed carjacking on Columbia Pike and a police chase that ended on I-395.

The carjacking happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Penrose Square. Two suspects, one brandishing a gun, demanded a victim’s car keys and phone, according to Arlington County police.

A Gainesville man is facing a number of charges after a wild incident in Clarendon last night.

Arlington County police say the 45-year-old suspect spat on and threw a brick at a man who was walking in the area. Police say they located the suspect along Clarendon Blvd, leading to a foot pursuit and the suspect allegedly spitting on an officer.

A woman was carjacked in Pentagon City last night.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday — on Halloween — in a parking garage on the 1200 block of S. Fern Street, near Costco. A male suspect, accompanied by a female suspect, pulled a gun and demanded the keys to the woman’s Audi A4, according to police.

Arlington County police are investigating a pair of gun crimes that happened along Columbia Pike on Monday.

The first happened in front of the Arlington Drafthouse around 3:45 a.m., when a fight in the middle of Columbia Pike was followed by several shots. No one was reported to be struck by the gunfire.

There were four carjackings in Arlington during the first half of 2024, according to Arlington County police. That’s a third of the 2023 total during the same time period.

The carjacking happened around 10:30 p.m. on the 4000 block of Wilson Blvd, when two male suspects forced the victim out of his parked car and drove off.

Six juvenile suspects are facing charges after an alleged mini crime spree in the Pentagon City area Saturday evening.

The first incident happened around 5:30 p.m., near the Whole Foods store on 12th Street S., when a group of teen boys approached a woman and “demanded her property.” She ran away and nothing was taken, according to police.

The case involving the man who allegedly went on a carjacking and assault spree through Falls Church and Arlington is moving forward.

Last week — eight months after his arrest — he was identified as Garrett Reeves, of Lorton, according to Susan Finarelli, a public information officer for the City of Falls Church Police Department.
