Clarendon’s Restaurant 3 reported on its Twitter feed today that an NBC Sports camera crew was filming b-roll around the restaurant this afternoon. The footage is expected to air during Sunday night’s game between the ‘Skins and the Indianapolis Colts.
The game will include a tribute to the late “Grandpa Hogette” Ralph Campbell, one of the co-founders of the Washington Redskins Hogettes, who was buried at Arlington National Cemetery last week.
BBQ Bandidos served up their first sandwich less than three weeks ago, but already they’re developing a loyal customer base.
“It’s awesome, it’s authentic… you can taste the smokiness of the meat,” said India Hubbard, who along with several co-workers were getting lunch from the truck for the second time. Hubbard said they’ll be back soon to try other items on the menu.

The fun includes watching blacksmiths in action, touring a log cabin, as well as making your own apple cider, corn husk dolls and hand-dipped candles.

“Glad the vehicle didn’t go through the window again, since the building’s exterior has recently gotten a facefilt (new paint, awnings),” our tipster writes. “But I’ll think twice about eating on the patio so close to this intersection!”
If the election results go their way, the Tea Party will be partying in Arlington on Nov. 2.
The Clarendon-based Leadership Institute, a sort of conservative political training camp, will host “an election night victory party for 350 conservative and Tea Party activists.”
