‘Toastique’ plans grand opening with giveaways in Crystal City this weekend

The wait is over in Crystal City for Toastique, a D.C.-based “gourmet toast” eatery opening this weekend.

Grand opening festivities begin this Saturday at 244 19th Court S., on the ground floor of Reva apartments. The new cafe serves a variety of sweet and savory loaded toasts, plant-based breakfasts, smoothies and coffee.

Giveaways kick off at 8 a.m.

  • The first 100 guests to spend $10 on Saturday will receive $50 in Toastique Rewards credit.
  • Grand opening specials will continue until Wednesday, with planned discounts and giveaways on coffee, smoothies and juice.
  • The new cafe, which will be open daily from 7 a.m.-5 p.m., is joined on the ground floor of The Grace and Reva by new retail tenants like Flight Wine Shop and PLNTR.

It serves nine signature toasts

  • Toasts start at $11. One option, the Avocado Smash, is topped with watermelon radish, marinated tomatoes, chili oil and microgreens.
  • Other variations come with peanut butter and berries, spicy crab and cheese, or smoked salmon with herbed cream cheese, cucumber, pickled onions and capers.
  • The menu also features collagen-infused lattes, smoothie bowls, protein waffles, overnight oats and cold-pressed juice.

This is Arlington’s second Toastique

  • Local entrepreneur Brianna Keefe founded the franchise seven years ago in D.C. It has since expanded nationwide with over 30 locations.
  • The Crystal City location joins cafes in the District and Alexandria, as well as a Clarendon outpost that opened last September.
  • Nearly 20 locations are expected to open through the end of 2025, including new cafes in neighboring Reston and Great Falls.
