An Arlington-based boxing studio is closing all three of its Northern Virginia studios this month, per an email to customers.
BASH Boxing will be closing its locations in Ballston, Rosslyn and Fairfax County’s Mosaic District on Sunday, June 21, according to a mass email sent to customers just before noon today (Monday).
In the message to customers, the interval workout studio said the closures were “a difficult decision made after careful consideration of many factors.”
“We are deeply grateful for every member who has been part of BASH,” the business wrote. “Your energy, dedication, and support have shaped this community in meaningful ways. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your fitness journey; it has truly been an honor.”
BASH did not immediately return a request for comment, and the brand’s social media pages appear to have been deactivated as of this afternoon.
According to the email, classes will “gradually wind down” between now and June 21. Studio users have until that date to use any remaining class credits.
BASH’s locations are listed below.
- Ballston (700 N. Randolph Street, Suite 195)
- Rosslyn (1550 Wilson Blvd, Unit 102)
- Mosaic District (2905 District Avenue, Unit 195)
Co-founders Alexandra Trakas and Scott Parker opened the fitness studio’s first location in Rosslyn in 2018, replacing a vacancy from the longtime Cafe Asia. The brand’s workout classes focused on interval training and cardio, using water-filled training bags.
The Ballston location opened the following year and was succeeded by the Mosaic District studio in 2022.
In 2021, the gym announced ambitious plans to franchise with hundreds of locations at the local and national level, but those plans never came to fruition. Parker told ARLnow that he and his partners sold BASH in a private transaction in April 2025, citing a busy workload and desire to focus on other projects.
The business advertised itself as “the ultimate full-body burn,” combining coaching on punches with high-intensity interval training, strength training and metabolic conditioning.
“Our program is designed to help you move better while you’re sweatin’ with us and throughout your daily life,” the studio’s website says. “With three daily focuses — endurance, strength, and power — no two workouts are ever the same here at BASH. Add in our state-of-the-art sound and lighting and you’ll find an experience that you won’t soon forget.”
