The planned establishment at 1114 N. Irving Street has applied for two work permits this summer, including one last week. However, the bar’s interior buildout was already completed during the pandemic, according to one of the owners.

Five new long-haul flights are coming to Reagan National Airport. It’s now up to the U.S. Department of Transportation to decide which ones.

Eight airlines met Monday’s deadline to apply for the daily roundtrip flights, which will be exempt from the airport’s general 1,250-mile service perimeter. That follows the May passage of an FAA reauthorization bill that allowed the five new flights, to the strenuous objection of local elected officials concerned about delays and safety.

A busy Arlington supermarket would be sold to facilitate the planned merger between grocery giants Kroger and Albertsons, the companies publicly disclosed.

The Harris Teeter in the Lee-Harrison Shopping Center at 2425 N. Harrison Street would be divested to C&S Wholesale Grocers under current plans. The store would not close but might be rebranded.

Police are investigating another reported theft at Clarendon’s Lululemon store — at least the fourth since mid-June and the third in as many days.

Four male suspects reportedly entered the store, located at 2847 Clarendon Blvd, just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday and gathered merchandise before leaving the store without paying, an Arlington County police spokesperson said.

Fantasticks, which offers custom gelato popsicles, opened last week at The Crossing Clarendon (2800 Clarendon Blvd). The booth sits in the middle of the N. Edgewood Street loop, just outside of Barnes & Noble.

Clarendon’s Lululemon store was hit by thieves twice Monday, separated by only a matter of hours, according to police.

Arlington County police responded to the store at 2847 Clarendon Blvd just after 5 p.m. after two women in their teens or 20s had entered the store, gathered up merchandise, and left without paying, a police spokeswoman said.

An Indian restaurant operating out of John Lyon VFW Post 3150 in Colonial Village has abruptly left the space.

A sign on the door of the post said that Sundara Indian Restaurant & Cafe is moving to a new spot at 1320 Braddock Place, near the Braddock Road Metro station, in Alexandria.
