Arlington may soon be making electric scooters a more or less permanent fixture of the county’s streets and sidewalks.
The County Board will vote on an ordinance change during its meeting this Saturday, November 16 to allow e-scooter companies to operate in Arlington — provided companies fulfill the requirements of a new permitting system starting next year.
Last week’s major water main break near Chain Bridge is not done disrupting traffic.
Arlington County crews are planning to close N. Glebe Road again tonight, between Military Road and Chain Bridge Road, for more repairs. The work is intended to “restore full water system capacity and redundancy following the large water main emergency of last Friday,” according to a press release.

Organized by Katie offers a flexible approach, working on projects of all sizes, from simple refreshes to full-scale downsizing. Kersavage also acknowledges the emotional and mental challenges that often come with letting go of belongings, an aspect she believes sets her work apart.
“For me, it’s not just about doing the work,” she said. “It’s about understanding why someone feels the way they do and creating a plan that addresses their concerns.”
Kersavage balances her organizing business alongside a full-time role as a senior program manager at a tech company, which allows her to offer evening and weekend appointments — a key benefit for busy Arlington residents.
As a new entrepreneur, she worked with Arlington Economic Development’s BizLaunch program to navigate the early stages of launching her business. A woman was robbed by two people on Columbia Pike near the Pentagon on Monday evening.
The robbery happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Veterans Day, at the intersection of Columbia Pike and S. Joyce Street. Police say a patrol officer was flagged down by the victim, who reported being robbed by a pair of suspects, one of whom was armed with a gun.

A ten-year plan for the future of transportation in Rosslyn has been finalized after county officials spent two years of gathering public feedback.
