Arlington’s rash of satirical posters has continued to expand its orbit, taking on another political candidate and a local towing company.
With more cropped images and whimsical captions, new signs have appeared at the intersection of Fairfax Drive and N. Quincy Street in the Ballston area. They poke fun at Advanced Towing, independent County Board candidate Audrey Clement, and Democratic County Board challenger James DeVita (and his unique signs).

Question: Why would anybody waste thousands of dollars each year on condo fees?
Answer: Most people associate paying condo fees with throwing money down the drain, but most people do not look at condo fees the right way.
In this June 20 article, the Wall Street Journal reported a study by Angi (formerly Angie’s List) that home maintenance and emergency repairs have increased by 85% and 175%, respectively, from 2019 to 2025.
By comparison, condo fees in Arlington increased by an average of just 32% from 2019 to 2025, making them a steep bargain for condo owners compared to other homeowners.
What Do Condo Fees Pay For?
For those who haven’t spent time studying condo budgets, some of the main expenses in a condo budget include:
Maintenance, Emergency Repairs, and Utilities: general upkeep and operations of the building
Reserves: a building’s savings account for major repairs or replacement of things like the roof, elevators, carpet, etc
Property Management/Staff: contracts for a property manager, front desk, janitorial services, and engineer
Master Insurance: this policy usually protects everything except your personal items and improvements within each unit

It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday near the Taco Bell Cantina, on the 2000 block of Wilson Blvd. The man was inside his parked Toyota Corolla with the windows down when a male and a female suspect approached, drew guns, punched him in the face, and stole his car, according to police and scanner traffic.

Arlington’s representative on a panel studying D.C. Metro funding is opposing a region-wide sales tax to support the transit system.
Instead, County Board member Matt de Ferranti believes Virginia, D.C. and Maryland should each determine how they will pay for the extra regional costs now estimated at $500 million to $600 million a year.

Beyer Welcomes Khan Suri — “Thrilled to welcome Dr. Badar Khan Suri back following his prolonged, unjust detention in Texas. The Trump Administration persecuted him and others to spread fear on American campuses, tearing him away from his family in the process, until a judge halted it. So glad he’s home.” [Rep. Don Beyer/X, ACLU]
