A seafood restaurant in Clarendon has had its locks changed and the landlord has retaken possession of the property.

A note posted on the door of Seamore’s yesterday (Monday) informed the tenant that Regency Centers has initiated a “self-help eviction” at 2815 Clarendon Blvd, in The Crossing Clarendon shopping center.

Despite high office vacancy rates, several of Arlington’s major commercial corridors have some of the highest commercial real estate prices in Northern Virginia, new data shows.

While a debate among the candidates for Virginia Attorney General focused on violent rhetoric, a debate watch party in Arlington descended into physical violence.

Police were called to Mister Days on N. Highland Street around 6:45 p.m. Thursday after a fight broke out at the debate watch party held by the Arlington County Republican Committee. A video posted online, which includes explicit language, shows a man being restrained and ordered to leave the restaurant while a female companion records the incident and is later also ordered to leave.

Bavarian snacks, live music and yard games are all planned this weekend at a new “Blocktoberfest” street festival hosted by the Clarendon Ballroom.

The event takes place this Saturday between O’Sullivan’s Irish Pub and the Liberty Tavern, at Wilson Blvd and N. Irving Street. The Clarendon Ballroom promises “a full-scale street festival packed with Bavarian cheer, music, and beer garden vibes.”


Traffic

The intersection of Wilson Blvd and N. Fillmore Street is blocked due to a crash involving an overturned vehicle.

The reported two-vehicle crash happened around 2:15 p.m., sending one of the vehicles tumbling onto its side. The occupants were able to get out prior to emergency responders arriving on scene, according to scanner traffic.
