Arlington Dems Going to Convention — “The chair and deputy chair of the Arlington County Democratic Committee are saddling up and getting ready to participate in the Democratic National Convention. New Condo Project Near Rosslyn — “A relatively new entrant to the Greater Washington real estate world plans to redevelop the Air & Space Forces Association’s headquarters site in Arlington with luxury condos carrying an international hotel brand. Taicoon Property Partners LLC plans to tear down the existing building at 1501 Langston Blvd. and build a 94-unit residential building, branded by an unnamed ‘major, international top-tier hotel company,’ according to a conceptual site plan application filed June 25.” [Washington Business Journal]
Women Rob Store With Kids in Tow — “1600 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:09 a.m. on June 25… two female suspects entered the business with two children, collected items and left the store without payment. When confronted by an employee, one of the suspects pushed and spat at the employee. Safety Tool Helping APS — “A digital threat assessment form is helping Arlington, Virginia, school leaders better monitor concerning student behavior, Superintendent Francisco Durán said at a school board meeting Thursday… It launched this year, and has made reporting troubling behavior more accessible and easy to do, according to school board documents.
