Paving on Crystal Drive and S. Clark Street, previously slated for completion today, is beginning later than expected because of last week’s storms. Motorists should expect lane closures, no street parking and a full crosswalk closure at 23rd Street S.

The Arlington County Board approved funding for a pair of big-ticket infrastructure projects on Saturday.

Thousands are again without power in Pentagon City and Crystal City.

Nearly 7,400 homes and businesses were in the dark as of 1:30 p.m., according to Dominion’s website. The outage extends from Crystal City and Pentagon City to the Aurora Highlands and Foxcroft Heights neighborhoods, according to scanner traffic and the power company’s map.

Two teens were taken in custody after an unsuccessful armed carjacking attempt in Pentagon City over the weekend.

The incident, which happened early Saturday morning a few blocks from Amazon’s HQ2, was caught on camera. Local public safety watcher Dave Statter posted video of the suspects hiding in wait, then the would-be victims fleeing on foot.

Eatopia Eatery, which The Washington Post recently named one of the region’s best Ethiopian restaurants, has been searching for an Arlington space since October, owner Surafel Gizachew told ARLnow. It would be the restaurant’s second outpost, joining the U Street location that debuted last April.

A teenager from D.C. is facing several charges in Arlington after an early morning car chase.

A black Dodge Charger “that had previously eluded state troopers on multiple occasions” was spotted speeding on I-395 around 1 a.m., according to Virginia State Police, leading to a wild chase that ended in a crash on 15th Street S. in Crystal City.
