Falls Church has hired its first outreach specialist for the city’s Vietnamese communities.
Following city leaders’ promises to improve engagement with Vietnamese-American residents and businesses, Le Nguyen, a veteran journalist with local ties, started work on July 10.

Pentagon City’s RiverHouse project is collecting public feedback on a planned one-acre park between S. Lynn Street and S. Joyce Street.
The park, which would be developed in two phases, is meant to facilitate pedestrian traffic and serve as a “vibrant gathering place.” Respondents have until Sunday to submit feedback on the final draft design.
A new Syrian restaurant has opened for business in Bluemont, serving traditional cuisine straight from the kitchen of a Damascus native.
