Virginia State Police are looking for the driver of a Porsche bearing Montana tags, after a crash that injured a trooper.

The crash happened early this morning, shortly after midnight, on southbound I-395 near Pentagon City. Video (below) showing the Porsche crossing multiple lanes and colliding with the VSP cruiser was posted to social media by local public safety watcher Dave Statter.

A vehicle overturned on a residential street between Route 50 and Columbia Pike this morning.

It happened around 8:15 a.m. on the 300 block of S. Highland Street, a couple of blocks from Thomas Jefferson Middle School, in the Arlington Heights neighborhood.

A 42-year-old Arlington man is facing a number of charges, including DUI, after a crash that shut down a busy on-ramp Friday afternoon.

It started around 4:45 p.m., police say, when a driver veered off the road and struck another car at the Route 50 and Washington Blvd interchange. That driver then allegedly tried to climb a fence before returning to his car.

A busy stretch of N. Glebe Road just north of Ballston was completely blocked Tuesday afternoon.

A moving van took down a utility pole and live wires near 15th Street N. just before 2 p.m. The road was closed in both directions while police and fire personnel awaited utility crews to start cleaning up the mess.

A driver pinned after a crash caused their vehicle to flip has been extricated by firefighters.

The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. on Langston Blvd and N. Lexington Street, near Sloppy Mama’s BBQ. It’s unclear what caused the crash, which involved at least two vehicles, but it left one of the cars — a Subaru — on its roof and its driver reportedly pinned against the dashboard.

A Virginia State Police chase through Fairfax County ended in a fleeing vehicle striking a Metrobus and a minivan near Fairlington on Saturday.

No passengers were on board the bus and the driver was uninjured, while the minivan driver was hospitalized for injuries that were not life-threatening, according to a press release.

Fatal crashes on Arlington roads dropped to a six-year low in 2024 as the Vision Zero team says its efforts have begun yielding tangible results.

Only one person died in an Arlington vehicle crash last year, the lowest number the county has seen since 2018, according to a Vision Zero annual report published last week. Between 2019 and 2023, the number of fatal collisions varied between three and five.

A cyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a driver in Clarendon this morning.

The crash happened just after 8:30 a.m. on eastbound 10th Street N. at N. Irving Street, across from Fire Station No. 4.

A woman was rescued Tuesday evening after driving into the Potomac River along the GW Parkway.

The incident happened shortly before 7 p.m. on the Parkway between the 14th Street Bridge and Memorial Bridge. A crowd gathered along the Mt. Vernon Trail as U.S. Park Police and good Samaritans helped to pull the driver to shore.

A read-end collision on Arlington Blvd (Route 50) caused delays in the Arlington Forest neighborhood today.

Just before 11:30 a.m., a dark-colored SUV collided with the rear of a stopped vehicle in a line of cars at the road’s intersection with Park Drive, traffic camera footage shows.
