Three Notch’d Brewing Company is expected to open in 2026 as the bookstore consolidates into its upper level at 2800 Clarendon Blvd, April Laney, a senior leasing agent for property owner Regency Centers, told ARLnow.

The menu at Pizzato Pizza, which soft opened this summer at 2626 N. Pershing Drive, largely homes in on classic pizza place offerings, including premium and build-your-own pies, stromboli, pasta and hot sandwiches.

A restaurant and bar providing diners with a classy, but easygoing, night out aims to celebrate its grand opening this weekend.

Hyde Social — named after Clarendon’s namesake, first Earl of Clarendon Edward Hyde — is scheduled to open at 4 p.m. this Friday at 3100 Clarendon Blvd. Co-owner John Cerrito said the restaurant plans to serve appetizers, drinks and entrees in a relaxed atmosphere.

Kaldi’s Social House has soft launched its second Arlington location in the Potomac Yard area, with plans to be fully operational by next week.

The new cafe and restaurant at 3639 S. Glebe Road, near Crystal City, soft opened yesterday (Monday). It aims for a somewhat different ambience than the eatery’s other spots in Clarendon and Silver Spring, Director of Operations Sean Swartz told ARLnow.

A forthcoming pizza restaurant in Rosslyn plans to serve up Roman-style pies of the rectangular variety.

Ravenna Pizza advertises a menu with 13 varieties of sharp-cornered pizza, alongside salads, homemade gelato and Italian desserts. Owner Mustafa Durran plans to open in the former spot of Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop at 1500 Wilson Blvd by early to mid-January.

A European-inspired bistro by the founders of For Five Coffee Roasters is slated to open in Virginia Square’s new nine-story office building next year.

The restaurant, The Angie, is expected to open in spring 2025, developer Skanska announced today (Friday). The “American French” concept includes 162 total seats, outdoor dining, a full-service bar, a barista bar, a lounge and a private dining room, according to a news release.

A new restaurant may soon open at the former spot of Rooftop Bar & Grill in Courthouse.

The unnamed bar and restaurant concept comes from Gary Ouellette, the owner of Union Jack’s British Pub in Columbia, Md., and formerly in Ballston. The new business has its eyes on an early 2025 opening at 2424 Wilson Blvd, general manager Brian Ouellette told ARLnow.

Richmond-based Wood & Iron is expected to open up in Virginia Square next year, on the ground level of a new mixed-use building planned for George Mason University’s Arlington campus.

D.C.-area restaurant Dolan Uyghur plans to expand further into Northern Virginia with a new Falls Church location.

The new eatery hopes to open by Friday, Oct. 18 at 400 S. Maple Avenue, in the space formerly held by Pizzeria Orso, owner Hamid Kerim told ARLnow. The business also still plans to open a new location in Crystal City, although it has pushed back the planned opening date from November to February or March 2025.

Ballston’s second Compass Coffee will open to the public this weekend with some giveaways.

The new cafe at 4300 Wilson Blvd, which the company has dubbed “Ballston West,” will hold its grand opening this Saturday. The first 100 customers who show up after the coffee shop opens at 6:30 a.m. will receive $25 gift cards.

A halal chicken restaurant based on Langston Blvd has opened a sister eatery on Columbia Pike, with a grand opening expected later this month.

Charga on the Pike is the second venture of Charga Grill, an eatery whose original location at 5151 Langston Blvd surged in popularity after claiming the No. 1 spot on The Washington Post’s ranking of the best casual restaurants in the D.C. area in 2022.
