All-Day Cafe in Rosslyn — “Michelin-starred chef Fabio Trabocchi’s restaurant group plans to open an all-day cafe in the Rosslyn office building where he opened a Sfoglina outpost just before the Covid-19 pandemic. Traffic

A water main break has partially closed a busy road in Cherrydale.

As of 3:30 p.m. the northbound lanes of N. Quincy Street were closed near 18th Street N., as water gushed a buckled portion of roadway in front of Restoration Anglican Church. Traffic control personnel were on scene, awaiting the arrival of county water crews.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Arlington, the District and other parts of the immediate D.C. area, with snow expected to start falling early Sunday.

Nearly 3,000 homes and businesses in the Ballston area are in the dark on a chilly night.

The outage was first reported late Saturday afternoon. As of 5:30 p.m., Dominion’s website listed 2,801 customers without power, in an area roughly bounded by N. Glebe Road, I-66, N. Quincy Street and Wilson Blvd.

A 38-year-old Arlington woman has been charged with attempted arson after allegedly pouring gasoline in the office of an apartment building.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 3200 block of 24th Street S. in the Green Valley neighborhood. That corresponds with The Shelton, an apartment building with a years-long history of resident complaints about safety and living conditions.

A Wakefield High School student was sent to the hospital Friday morning after being exposed to fumes in a shop class.

The Arlington County Fire Department dispatched a hazmat team to the school around 10:30 a.m. after reports of people getting sick in the shop class.
