Korean street food is on the menu at Noonchi, a new eatery in the back of Bun’d Up in Pentagon City.
Asian-American fusion spot Bun’d Up at 1201 S. Joyce Street, in the Westpost shopping center, finished rebranding its back room earlier this year. Noonchi is a departure from Sparrow Room, the former speakeasy and dim sum destination.
Immigrant Food’s first foray outside of D.C. is scheduled to open in Ballston next week, owners told ARLnow.
The restaurant, opening Tuesday across from the Ballston Metro station at 4245 Fairfax Drive, is the newest outpost of “gastroadvacacy” dining for Immigrant Food, which launched in 2019. It will be the largest of the brand’s four restaurants.

An upcoming karaoke spot in Crystal City hopes to open later this year.
Interior construction is underway at Lantern Restaurant & Bar, which expects to open toward the end of this year, according to a county staff report for the Arlington County Board.
A longtime Rosslyn eatery was recently recognized in the Washington Post’s list of “great affordable restaurants in the D.C. area.”
Pho 75 at 1721 Wilson Blvd, in the Colonial Village Shopping Center, was one of five restaurants on the list compiled by food critic Tom Sietsema.

Bees & Tea by Asia Bistro is getting ready to become a standalone cafe at Westpost in Pentagon City.
The “tea bar” located inside Asia Bistro at 1301 S. Joyce Street requested a license to serve beer and wine in May, owner Jessica Arbaugh tells ARLnow. She expects the license to be approved by August or September.
National Airport finally has an American Express Centurion Lounge.
The lounge officially opened today (Wednesday) in Terminal 2 near the South Security Checkpoint. It has floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the airfield and the Potomac, art from local artists, a dining menu created by three separate acclaimed chefs, and a wine and cocktail menu customized for the D.C. area.
