Arlington is collecting feedback on a plan to bring over 1,500 new apartments to the RiverHouse development in Pentagon City.
Respondents have until Sunday, Sept. 22 to submit feedback on a site plan application to bring 1,515 more apartments to 1111 Army Navy Drive, 1400 S. Joyce Street and 1600 S. Joyce Street. This round of public feedback kicked off on Sept. 9.

A robbery at the Pentagon City mall Sunday afternoon caused a panic that sent shoppers fleeing and prompted a massive police response.
The incident started around 3:30 p.m. after Arlington County police received multiple reports of shots fired and smoke seen inside the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. Arriving officers found people running from the mall and broken glass in front of the Tourneau watch and jewelry store.
Two police officers and at least one store security guard were hurt trying to take a theft suspect into custody Friday.
That’s according to the latest Arlington County Police Department crime report. Police say the man robbed a store in Pentagon City around 3 p.m., implied he had a weapon, and fled to the Metro station, where a confrontation with law enforcement took place.

The Arlington Police, Fire, Sheriff and ECC 9/11 Memorial Race — which donates all proceeds to organizations that support first responders, military personnel and victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks — will take place on Saturday, Sept. 7. The run has generated a total of over $950,000 since it began in 2002.
Thieves damaged a number of cars in a condominium parking lot near Pentagon City earlier this week.
The break-ins happened overnight Monday into Tuesday, at the Cavendish condos. The cars targeted were Hondas, Arlington County police say.
Around 2,500 Arlington homes and businesses are without power Saturday afternoon due to a large outage.
The outage spans parts of the Long Branch Creek, Arlington Ridge and Pentagon City neighborhoods, according to a Dominion map. An additional 170 Dominion customers are reportedly without power in Alexandria’s Arlandria neighborhood as of 1:30 p.m.
