A 27-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly trying to knife someone during an early morning altercation near Clarendon’s bar district.

It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Washington Blvd and N. Garfield Street. The man “became agitated” while talking to the male victim and tried to strike him with a knife, according to Arlington County police.

A teenager was stabbed inside the Pentagon City mall Friday evening.

The stabbing happened around 5:45 p.m. amid a reported fight among a large group of people, including males and females, in the food court. Initial reports suggest that the boy was stabbed in the back during the melee.

Police are investigating two separate reports of someone shooting projectiles at Arlington Transit buses on S. Glebe Road.

A man has been convicted of breaking into multiple apartments in Courthouse and Virginia Square and sexually assaulting two women in April 2023.

A jury found Geremy Bridgeforth guilty of unlawfully entering three apartments in the middle of the night and, on two instances, sexually assaulting victims while they were sleeping, according to a press release from the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
